TOPIC: Addressing land-based pollution caused by natural disasters
Numerous nations are suffering due to their extensive land based pollution, caused primarily by their lack of response towards natural disasters. Over the past decades land-based pollution has become an increasingly significant problem, and has only increased due to the immense amount of waste generated by natural disasters such as hurricanes, forest fires, floods, tsunamis, earthquakes, and more. These disasters do not solely destruct the environment but deteriorate the nation's economy, thereby limiting the nation's ability to counteract. These problems are especially prevalent in developing nations as once the disaster hits with an already poor economy, the prevention of land pollution seems trivial. It is the UNEP's responsibility to address these issues and formulate a sustainable resolution which leads future generations on a more hopeful road.
