Topic: Peace of Westphalia
The Peace of Westphalia was one of the most consequential diplomatic conferences in the history of global politics. Ending the long and violent Thirty Years War, this meeting of the world’s most influential diplomats would go on to set the precedent for interstate relations, create a working definition of national sovereignty, and begin molding the modern borders of Europe. In the Peace of Westphalia Specialized Committee, delegates will represent the interests of their respective nations or groups and utilize their diplomatic knowledge to create a more stable and long lasting peace in Europe.
